NPP: “I’ve made Tarkwa-Nsuaem more attractive with my hardwork” -Mireku Duker express confidence ahead of parliamentary primaries

George Mireku Duker, breezed through the NPP's Regional vetting committee for the January 27 parliamentary primaries.

George Mireku Duker, the two-term Member of Parliament for Tarkwa-Nsuaem Constituency and Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, breezed through the New Patriotic Party‘s Regional vetting committee for the January 27 parliamentary primaries.

After spending a shorter time before the committee, Mr. Duker expressed confidence, stating, “I have handled my constituency well, and they [vetting committee] are aware of my worth and what I can do. God has been on our side; that was the reason why I didn’t spend much time in there. I saw it as a family reunion and not a vetting process.”

Addressing the competition posed by two other contenders eyeing the Tarkwa-Nsuaem parliamentary position, he embraced the democratic spirit, saying, “it’s democracy. Even Christ had enemies…this is a competition, and people will want to join. Especially when I have made it more attractive, dependable with my hard work, my contenders are eager to contest in our constituency. I’m sure the contest on January 27 will make us see who is who.”

In a message to his followers and delegates, George Mireku Duker encouraged them to bring more people along, anticipating a challenging contest in 2024.

Speaking to Beach FM, he expressed optimism, stating, “…I’m sure with the help and support of God, we will be able to break the 8. Tarkwa-Nsuaem will be the constituency to watch in the future.”

As George Mireku Duker gears up for the upcoming primaries, his confidence and commitment to his constituency’s progress make Tarkwa-Nsuaem a political hotspot to watch in the upcoming election on January 27, 2024.
