“I don’t know any independent candidate in Tarkwa Nsuaem” – Nana Addo

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo has admonished constituents in the Tarkwa Nsuaem Constituency, not to vote for any independent candidate in the 2020 parliamentary elections.

He said an independent candidate cannot help him if he wins the 2020 elections.

The only  independent parliamentary candidate in Tarkwa Nsuaem Joy Joyceline Andoh initially filed her nomination as aspiring parliamentary candidate on the ticket of the NPP but was disqualified after vetting, making way for the incumbent, Hon George Mireku Duker to run unopposed.

Joyceline Andoh has since decided to go independent and has started her campaign already, asking people to vote for her and Nana Addo in the 2020 elections.

But Speaking at a durbar at Nsuaem in the the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality, as part of his working visit to the western region on Tuesday, the president said he doesn’t know any independent candidate in the Tarkwa Nsuaem Constituency.

He therefore urged constituents to vote massively for George Mireku Duker in order to continue the good work the MP is doing.

The president used the opportunity to cut a sod for the construction of a senior high school at Nsuaem.

Meanwhile, while people were waiting for the arrival of the president at Nsuaem, some Supporters of George Mireku Duker destroyed a bill board belonging to Joy Joyceline Andoh, resulting in a fight between both Supporters
