It was rumoured that the 25-year old has signed for the Dawu Club, but later reports has it that nothing was conclusive between the two parties even though Head Coach won’t rule out how happy he will be to have Mumuni join his squad.
“I don’t have the license to speak on Shaffui Mumuni, the former Ashgold striker. I know lots of clubs wants him too including Kotoko and some foreign clubs but his move to Dreams FC isn’t official yet and so I can’t make any categorical statements about him”, Coach Winfred Dormon told Spice Center Sports.
He narrated that as coaches, they always need the best results and one can achieve that with players who are discipline with good attitude.
“Of course, it’s the players who make us the coaches and we also make them and so having a player like Shaffui Mumuni would have been great but there is nothing concrete yet”, he stated.
According to the Coach, everyone knows Mumuni is arguably one of the best strikers around and has even won the ‘goal king’ in the Chan Tournament, but whether they get him or not they are good to go.
“There are suitors from France, Spain and Portugal and in Ghana Kotoko is also around but the Black Stars ‘B’ Captain is yet to decide on his next destination”, he added.
