Giovanni Nana Osei Tutu Agyemang Pledges Support for NPP’s Charles Bissue to Retain Essikado-Ketan Parliamentary Seat

Former NPP Youth Organiser in the Essikado Constituency, Giovanni Nana Osei Tutu Agyemang, says his support for the elected NPP Parliamentary Candidate of the Essikado Ketan Constituency, Charles Bissue, is borne out of an aim to aid the party in retaining its seat in the general elections.

According to him, the seat is important to the party, and he cannot sit aloof but help the parliamentary candidate win the seat for the party.

In an interview with Arafat Musah, host of the Western Echo Show, Mr. Giovanni Tutu Agyemang urged his followers to come on board in the campaign for the retention of the seat in the Essikado Constituency.

“I was just interested in the retention of the seat. My prime aim in my campaign was to retain the seat and nothing else. I keep telling people how important, it was for us to retain the Essikado-Ketan seat.

If I’ve not been able to win an election, I don’t think I should sit back for that seat to go elsewhere.

It is for us to deliver to the whole world that, Giovanni’s camp is ever ready to support the winner of that contest.

The Essikado seat is so crucial to the party, I have followers who are also one way or the other not happy because I didn’t win, that is normal with politics.

It is my duty to take them on board.”

Mr. Giovanni Osei Tutu refutes reports that there is a division in the party.

He stated, “As it stands now, I can’t say, there is a division because these are the symptoms of the aftermath of elections. Some people will not be happy.
For the word division is too harsh a word because I don’t have any evidence of that effect.

I believe that it’s a matter of time.”

Giovanni Osei Tutu Agyemang contested the NPP parliamentary primaries at Essikado-Ketan Constituency on January 27 but lost to Charles Bissue, who came out victorious.
