Giovanni Nana Osei-Tutu Agyemang, former New Patriotic Party‘s (NPP), youth organizer for Essikado-Ketan constituency, has officially submitted his nomination forms on Saturday, December 23, 2023, to contest the parliamentary seat of Essikado-Ketan.
With enthusiasm radiating from his candidature, Osei-Tutu Agyemang confidently asserted that he is not just a contender but a genuine threat to opponents.
Adding that, having worked closely with the revered Joe Ghartey for 19 years, he is the perfect replacement, stating, “I’m a real homeboy and I’m the threat of the opponents. They don’t sleep when they see me. I’ve worked with Joe Ghartey for 19 years and I don’t know why I can fit his shoes -I’m his perfect replacement.”
Overflowing with joy and gratitude, Agyemang described the day as a realization of a lifelong dream. “Today is the happiest day of my life because I have always dreamt of a day like this that I will contest to become MP. Just look at the people around me and the happiness in their eyes. I’m so grateful to God.”
Addressing the essence of a healthy political discourse, Giovanni Osei Tutu Agyemang urged delegates to embrace a positive approach, emphasizing the importance of unity beyond the primaries.
“This is an internal election. We should do politics devoid of insults. After these elections, we have a bigger contest against the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and they can use this against us in December 2024. We will come on board together after this election to fight the NDC as a big team.”
As Giovanni Nana Osei-Tutu Agyemang sets his sights on the Essikado-Ketan parliamentary seat, his vibrant campaign promises not just competition within the party but a united front to face future challenges.
