Persistent interruptions in electricity supply have become a significant obstacle for enterprises and the impacting their operations.
The situation has sparked concerns among entrepreneurs about its impact on productivity, financial stability, and the overall economic landscape.
These entrepreneurs, whom Beach Newsroom spoke to in Takoradi, complained about the situation, saying it is taking a toll on them.
They are, however, calling on the Electricity Company of Ghana, ECG, to come up with a sustainable solution for a schedule to keep them informed and to plan their work.
” This recent power outage is affecting businesses especially those who rely on electricity to work. Why should this happen to them? This situation is destroying many businesses. “
” The ECG should come out with a plan so that we can plan accordingly.”
I’m a welder, who uses electricity to work, I come to work, and there is no light to work with. How do they expect me to work during these times? Do they expect me to pay taxes? They should come and explain to us what is going on.”
I’m a seamstress, it doesn’t make us work. it’s making everything dull. Because of the light offs, I’m unable to complete my work.
They really need to do something about it for us.”
