The Member of Parliament representing Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has launched a strong criticism against the current MP for the Bantama constituency, Francis Asenso-Boakye.

Kennedy accused Asenso-Boakye, who is also the Minister of Works and Housing, of corruption during his time at the Presidency. Agyapong made these claims without presenting concrete evidence during a meeting with Bantama delegates in Kumasi

Kennedy suggested the possibility of revealing potentially explosive information about Asenso-Boakye’s alleged corrupt activities if the delegates choose to re-elect him in the upcoming New Patriotic Party (NPP) primaries.

He presented this as a conditional offer, indicating that his decision to disclose information would depend on the delegates’ choice.

In his address to the delegates, Kennedy warned of serious repercussions if Asenso-Boakye is re-elected, emphasizing that their decision would influence whether he exposes or remains silent about the alleged misconduct. Agyapong is actively campaigning for his brother, Ralph Kwame Agyapong, who is also a contender for the Bantama seat in the upcoming primaries.

The NPP delegates are scheduled to vote for parliamentary aspirants on Saturday, January 27, especially in constituencies with incumbent MPs.
