IF YOU ARE NO MORE INTERESTED IN CHICHIZ RETURN HIM TO THE SOURCE, JACK TONTO TELLS REMEMBA MATTEW

Jack Tonto the Sekondi Takoradi Media personality who discovered Chichiz, the first runner up of the 2019 edition of Mentor, has urged the current handler of the artiste Rememba Mattew to return the artiste to him in a more dignified manner than going on radio to pour out his grievances.

His reaction came in reference to a radio interview Rememba Mathew had on Y Fm, Takoradi where he explained why  plans to get an outfit for the artiste to perform at the grand finale of TV3 Mentor  did not materialized together with other monetary issues which the general public percieves that it has not been handled well. He aslo went ahead and called the artiste ungrateful for not appreciating his efforts to make things work.

Reacting to the interview on Spice 91.9 FM’s Ofie ne Fie with Kwame Offei, Jack Tonto said that it is important to ensure that we keep a positive image of the artiste after the competition because this is the time he needs a united front to grow his brand rather using the media platforms to wash their dirty linen in public.

“My purpose for coming here today is to thank the people of sekondi Takoradi for supporting Chichiz and clear the air on Remember Mattew’s utterance  that the artiste is ungrateful and will not want to work with him.

I gave you an artiste to handle because of my busy schedule; if there are issues it is important for you to come back to me for us to trash the issues out instead of going on air to wash your dirty linen in public,

I expected him to appreciate the effort of people of Sekondi Takoradi towards bringing Chichiz to this far but instead of pouring out grievances on radio. If I give someone to you to handle and you are no more interested in him, I expect you to bring him back to me than to just leave the person on the street”

He also shared the opinion that the delay in the costume which was expected to be used by the artiste for the grand finale was mere irresponsibility and incompetence on the part of the handler .

“According to remember Mathew,  the costume for chichiz’ last perfomace for the song titled  ‘My Ghana’ delayed and that affected the artiste performance, this to me shows high level of irresponsibility on the path of the so called manager, it also shows that you are not competent and you cannot do the Job. It is important to recognize that it was the grande finale of the competition and you must plan ahead of time to ensure the success of the event, I hate people who are ungreatful, if we are talking about people who should vent on radio, I should rather be the person, I kept my composure because the competition was still ongoing”.

He urged   the  people of Sekondi Takoradi to come together  and support Chichiz.

Speaking about his relationship with the artiste he said that he has been with chichiz way back from 2014 where he participated in lots of radio battles that he personally hosted during his days at   Flex Fm now Connect Fm and West Gold.

These were the times where he begun to grow some of the rappers who participated in the competion and Chichiz happened to be one of the rappers among his team of rappers.

He stated emphatically that every rapper in his team was aware that they had agreed to put a spotlight on Chichiz to hit the mainstream before attention will be directed towards any other artiste.

Through out all the Rap Batttle events the artiste participated beyond the studio, Jack Tonto said that he made sure that the artiste become victorious and his participation in the Mentor was part of the team’s grand Plan.

“The agenda I had was any battle chichiz participate in he has to win and every battle chichiz participated in I made sure he won”

Touching on how his relationship with Rememba Mattew started, he said that he met Rememba Mattew  in 2019 and made him a producer of his radio rap also known as ‘Kiss The Mic’  show, on West Gold Radio. There was a  point in time where they all lived together that is himself, Remember Mattew, and Chichiz but he withdrew a bit when some internal rangling begun to surfaced.

“We build trust among ourselves as you move with people on day to day basis, I suggested to Remember Mathew to move with Chichiz because of my tight schedule, since he was part of the team I thought that it will be a step in the right direction, I observed some level of some selfishness in his dealing with the artiste which made me withdrew a bit but I still supported him behind the scenes.

Jack Tonto used an African Proverb to suggest that rememba Mattew wanted to act smart but he knows better as an experience person in dealing with people.

“if you know how to have sex with a woman you can’t do it better that your grandfather”

He furher added that  he didn’t let go of chichiz but he only wanted create space for Rememba Matthew to prove himself since he claimed that he could do the Job
