Dr Randy Abbey Speaks On Ghana Football And Hearts Of Lions

After the Heart of Lion’s qualification to the Ghana Premier League, Dr Randy Abbey has emphasized that Heart of Lions looks forward to providing quality football in the coming season and that the immediate focus of the team is not to win trophies.

“I think that we are a business, we have a model, making talents, creating opportunities and in doing that we expect to provide quality football to our fans, the focus shouldn’t be about trophies now but we are a mix of everything,” He told Spice Sports.

On the same media platform, he shared his thoughts on Ghana football and the current football administration.

According to Mr Randy Abbey, Ghana football is challenged, but stakeholders and Ghanaians, in general, should look at where we are coming from thus, the aftermath of COVID-19 and the Anas exposé. He expressed optimism about Ghana football going forward.

“For close to three years football was virtually dead with the coming of COVID and even the anas expose
We can do better, there is a lot of work to be done, and we have to still look at where we were, and where we came from as well.

Kurt Okraku’s administration will be known for the implementation of the Ghana football philosophy it’s a big thing, to have a blueprint is something that every serious country has that we’ve never had. This is what we need to develop our football from the basics to the top. The results won’t come overnight, but later we will appreciate it.”

“Kurt deserves another opportunity to do a good job for Ghana football. He is the best man for the job” He added.
