Moontouch Travel Ltd, one of the travel management companies in Ghana with a wider clientele, has been adjudged Ghana’s most outstanding Travel and Tour Agency for the year.
The award was presented to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Ms Radia Adama Saani at the Ghana – West Africa Business Excellence Awards held at Movenpick Hotel in Accra on May 21, 2021.
The award scheme, facilitated by KN Unique Communications in partnership with Strategic Accountancy Africa, and endorsed by West Africa Chamber of Commerce recognized excellence in industry performance based on sector by sector and placed utmost premium on strong personalities currently driving the necessary results oriented changes in the field of commerce in the country.
A number of companies currently operating in Ghana and beyond at the end, picked up coveted awards and went home smiling.
Speaking in an interview after receiving the outstanding award, the CEO of Moontouch Travel Ltd, Ms Radia Adama Saani, one of the fast rising female entrepreneurs in the country, explained that the efforts made during the year under review positioned her company against the odds.
“Despite the threats of COVID-19, we did our best. We were able to work harder to maintain our customer service and to initiate new moves in adjusting to the new normal. The storm of COVID-19 we all know brought untold hardship to the aviation and tourism industry, but we were able to work harder to succeed and this is the second prestigious award the company has won this year. We thank all our cherished clients and staff of the company for the support to drive our growth with resilience”, she opined.
In the midst of the growing threats of COVID-19, Moontouch Travel Ltd managed to provide services in the two major areas of tourism and aviation.
Apart from making vital sales in domestic tourism and air ticketing, the company also offered quality services to international tourists, and made significant sales in international ticketing as part of the new Aviation Industry Management programs.
Consequently, in March this year, Ms Radia Adama Saani was also awarded the Travel & Tour CEO of the year by Northern Excellence Awards held in Tamale in the Northern Region.
