IGP urges Ghanaians to display patriotism and maturity 2024 elections

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, has called on Ghanaians to demonstrate patriotism, maturity, and compassion during the upcoming December 2024 general elections.

Speaking at an election preparation event organized by the Trades Union Congress in Accra, Dr. Dampare emphasized the importance of all stakeholders fulfilling their roles to ensure a smooth and peaceful electoral process.

He assured that security agencies are fully prepared to maintain peace and order throughout the elections.

Dr. Dampare highlighted the significance of maturity, patriotism, and love for humanity in contributing to a successful electoral process.

He reiterated the role of the National Election Command Centre, operational at the Police headquarters, in coordinating election-related activities and collaborating with the national election security task force to facilitate smooth elections.
