Two Persons Dead In Okada Accident At Wassa Adaase

Two persons have lost their lives in an Okada accident at Wassa Adaase in the Wassa East district of the Western region.

 Assemblymember for Adaase Electoral Area, Hon. Stephen Ahianyor narrating the incident said the motorbike was loaded with wood and carrying three persons including the rider travelling from Wassa Ateiku to Wassa Adaase.

According to him, the incident occurred after a few minutes after starting the journey, they collided with a car also coming from Wassa Adaase to Wassa Ateiku.

The Assemblymember recounted that the Okada rider was driving at a top speed and also heavily loaded, he suddenly lost control of the steering and subsequently collided with the oncoming vehicle.

The Okada rider identified as Kwaku Dan, 19 and one other passenger, Esi Ayida, 36 were pronounced dead on arrival while the remaining person, Yaw Adekah sustained severe injuries.

Yaw is however said to be receiving medical treatment at the emergency ward of Ateiku Christian Hospital whilst the mortal remains of the two have been deposited at Ateiku Christian Mortuary for preservation as police are also investigating the cause of the accident.
