Dr Bawumia announces implementation of E-Gates at Kotoka International Airport by end of year
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has announced the implementation of E-Gates at Kotoka International Airport (KIA), by the end of the year.
This new system, set to be installed in the arrival section, will allow Ghanaians to bypass immigration checks upon arrival by using their Ghana cards.
Dr. Bawumia made this announcement during a meeting with clergy in Cape Coast, which marked the beginning of his regional tour on Monday.
“Before the end of this year, if you arrive in Ghana at Kotoka Airport, you won’t need to go to an immigration officer. We are implementing E-Gates, where you simply use your Ghana card to pass through,” he stated.
Additionally, Dr. Bawumia expressed his desire for an “open and frank discussion” with religious and faith-based organizations regarding school management, particularly focusing on maintaining discipline.
