District Chief Executives have been instructed by the Public Accounts Committee to foster positive connections with their Members of Parliament.
For the betterment of their people, DCEs and their MPs must have a positive working relationship, according to Public Accounts Committee Chairman Hon. James Klutse-Avedzi.
The Auditor-General’s Report on the Management and Utilization of District Assemblies Common Fund and Other Statutory Funds for the Year Ended December 31, 2022, and Pre-University Educational Institutions in the Ashanti Region was being considered during Zone Two of the Public Hearing in Sunyani when the Chairman made this statement.
The Western North, Ashanti, Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo regions are included in Zone 2.
Hon. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammad, the MP for Tamale Central, and a few committee members provided advice.
