Political Scientist Questions Implementation of NPP Flag Bearer’s Policies
Professor Henry Kwasi Prempeh, a lecturer at the Department of Political Science at the University of Ghana, has expressed concern about the implementation of the vision and policies, as highlighted by the NPP’s flag bearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
In an interview with Ampem Darko, host of Spice FM’s Morning Show, Professor Prempeh lauded the Vice President for the smooth delivery of the lecture but was sceptical if the policies outlined would be enforced should he be elected as the President of Ghana.
More often than not, he observes that politicians tend to neglect the policies they outline when they are given the mandate to govern.
Professor Kwasi Prempeh noted that if politicians can fulfil 50 percent of their promises, the country will be a better place.
He urged the citizenry to be proactive in demanding answers from political leaders when they put out any policies.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia highlighted his vision for Ghanaians when elected president yesterday at the UPSA.
Professor Prempeh urged politicians to stick to the promises they make to citizens.
