It has been reported that a tragic accident occurred in Amasaman, Accra, involving a tanker truck and a trotro vehicle, resulting in the possible loss of seven lives.
The incident took place on Monday, February 5th, 2024, between 7 PM and 8 PM. According to sources, the tanker driver collided with the public bus near the Toman-China Mall area after experiencing brake failure.
An eyewitness named Alex Ahenkorah explained that as the driver approached a section of the road undergoing construction, he slowed down due to a hole on the road.
Unfortunately, despite this precautionary measure, the tanker truck crashed into the trotro.
Onlookers intervened to extract the victims from the heavily damaged vehicle, but the majority of them showed no signs of responsiveness.
