In response to a widely circulated video depicting the menacing actions of two suspects, Kwame Sarpong and Ibrahim Mohammed, the police successfully apprehended the individuals on November 19, 2023.
The disturbing footage showcased the duo wielding machetes and knives while issuing threats to harm individuals who resist them during their robbery operations.
Identifying themselves as the ‘Aputuogya gangsters,’ the suspects were located and arrested at their hideout in Aputuogya, Kumasi, situated in the Ashanti Region.
The arrest marked a significant development in the efforts to curb their criminal activities and ensure public safety.
As of now, Kwame Sarpong and Ibrahim Mohammed are in police custody, actively cooperating with ongoing investigations.
