Chiefs in Greater Accra voice apprehensions about dam spillage, advise residents to follow evacuation guidelines
The President and members of the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs have expressed their serious concerns regarding the extensive damage caused by the Akosombo Dam spillage to towns and communities along the Volta River.
They particularly sympathize with those affected, including residents of the Ada and Osudoku Traditional Areas.
The House strongly urges all individuals living along the riverbanks to heed the directives provided by the authorities overseeing the evacuation process.
Furthermore, they hope that fellow Ghanaians will extend their hospitality and support to the affected victims, facilitating their recovery and integration into nearby communities.
The ultimate goal is to emerge from this disaster as a stronger and united nation.
