District Chief Executive for Suaman in the Western North Region Phillip Kwabena Boahene has debunked allegations levelled against him by some traditional authorities in the area.
According to him, he has been at the forefront of fighting most of the allegations levelled against him and has therefore expressed surprise at the assertions by the traditional authorities.
Acting President of Suaman Traditional Area and Abakomahene of Suaman Traditional Area Nana Ebbi Kwaw Dehyie II, addressed the media on behalf of the Paramount Chief for Paramount Chief for Suaman Traditional Area Odeneho Brentum IV.
The DCE was reacting to some allegations levelled against him by traditional leaders of Suaman in the Western North Region who have petitioned, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo to remove him from office.
The traditional authorities during a press conference said some activities of the DCE in the district are a breach of his assigned duties as the representative of the government and have therefore given the government a one-month ultimatum to remove him from office.

“We called everyone here to put before you that Nana Odeneho Brentum IV does not want to work with the DCE anymore. According to him, he has a hand in galamsey activities here in Dadieso.
We have been in contact with the Police commander and other traditional leaders, as well as DISEC, to help us solve this canker.
In addition to the galamsey activities, it is an open secret that the DCE snuggles cocoa from here to Cote d’Ivoire.He pretends to be against these things but we all know that he has taken us for granted”
” After multiple checks, we have realized that he illegally sells our resources. He sometimes sells the resources to individuals here and all of us bear witness to that. He has taken advantage of his power to amass wealth and misuse resources. These are the reasons why Nana does not want him anymore
Our traditional leaders have never made complaints about DCEs until the current DCE came in. He sometimes enstools his own chief and leaders which is not appropriate. For these reasons we want his post taken away from him and another person put in his place,”
The District Chief Phillip Kwabena Boahene on the other hand says he intends to meet the traditional authorities to thrash out the issues amicably.
He has however refuted the allegations leveled against him.
” The truth is that I Omanhene have been away because of ill- health and in his absence, a lot has been said about me in a press conference. I have been accused of illegally selling lands to people and companies people are highly intellectual so I can’t be doing this without them knowing for the past 2 years.
They claim I engage in Lumbering and quarrying but I don’t own the quarry sites either.
The quarry belongs to other people and through that, they are constructing the Dadieso road and other roads as well. I have no hand in the things I have been accused of and I am not guilty,”
