Takoradi Technical University has launched it’s first ever annual sports award on July 26,2023. The event which was put together by the Sports Committee of the school aims to award and honour individuals,teams and organisations for their immense support to sports in the University and the region at large.The event was themed “ Recognising Excellence in Sports at the Takoradi Technical University and Beyond”.
The awards ceremony will take place on 5th August 2023 at the University’s auditorium.A total of sixty-six people have been nominated in 11 categories across both genders.The Pro Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Victor Kweku Bondzie Micah, stated that,voting will be open to students and the committee of sports in the ratio of 60:40.Beyond the school, other individuals will be confered upon meritorious honours.Winners of awards on the day will receive awards in the form of certificates , plaques and citations.The University hopes to reach out to individuals and organisations to liase with towards the development of sports.
