Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has accepted a remarkable £259 million bid from for Kylian Mbappe, setting a new world record transfer fee. The French champions have granted permission to Al Hilal to engage in discussions with Mbappe after deciding to put him up for sale.

As a clear sign of their intentions, PSG has excluded him from their pre-season tour of Japan and South Korea, only including players committed to the club.

Al Hilal’s offer stands out among various proposals received by PSG for Mbappe, which include cash-plus-players deals. Other interested parties reportedly include Chelsea, Manchester United, Inter Milan, and Barcelona. PSG is open to considering all offers and willing to entertain any proposal to sell the French forward.

Kylian Mbappe has just one year left on his contract and has shown reluctance to sign an extension. PSG believes he has already reached an agreement to join Real Madrid on a free transfer next summer.

Although Real Madrid had planned to wait until next year to acquire Mbappe for free, Al Hilal’s substantial bid may prompt them to make a formal offer to secure his services sooner.

PSG is determined not to lose Mbappe without receiving a significant fee. While they are even willing to consider loaning him out for the upcoming season, the player himself appears resolute in his decision to sit on the sidelines if his contract is not extended. This could lead to him departing for Real Madrid on a free transfer next summer.

It’s evident that Kylian Mbappe’s future is surrounded by intense speculation, and PSG faces the challenge of navigating through a complex transfer situation involving multiple interested clubs and the player’s desire to join Real Madrid.
