Speaking to Beach Newsroom, I.K. Addison expressed disappointment in the Fire Service for not doing enough to salvage the situation.
” I wasn’t in the house when the fire started. I was at the office when they called that there was a fire outbreak. I rushed home.
The Fire Service came in with their first fire tender, and there was no water in it. The second fire tender had water in it, and they used that to douse the fire. Two bedrooms were affected, and some properties were lost.
Television sets, beds, home electrical appliances, wardrobes, and others.
I was here when they came, they were supposed to enter but they said if they enter and they get injured, the government will not take care of them,” He said.
However, the Fire Service Command could not speak immediately about what caused the fire.
An investigation, they say will be conducted to ascertain the cause of the fire.
