The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo has appointed Air Vice Marshal Frederick Asare Kwasi Bekoe as the Chief of Air Staff. The appointment is in consultation with the Council of State, pursuant to the provisions of Article 212 of the 1992 Constitution.
He succeeds Air Vice Marshal Frank Hanson who has completed his duty of tour and has retired from the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF)
The appointment took effect from Thursday January 26, 2023.
The President in a statement signed by the Director of Communications, Eugene Arhin at the Presidency expressed his gratitude to the former Chief of Air Staff for his meritorious service to the Ghana Armed Forces and the nation, and wished him well in his retirement.
