Report Drivers Who Flout Traffic Regulations – GPRTU Appeal to Public

The Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) is entreating the general public to report drivers who flout road regulations to the leadership of the Union.

In a media engagement with the Western Regional Public Relations Officer of GPRTU, Portia Nana Yaa Cudjoe urged drivers to heed the education campaigns to reduce to the barest minimum road carnage.

According to her, GPRTU is collaborating with National Road Safety Authority to ensure the road is safe for all users during the Yuletide.

Drivers of the Union are thus, encouraged to ensure their vehicles are in good shape before embarking on any journey.

“We have educated our drivers on careful driving during this festive season. The Road Safety Authority has been invited to offer them some education, and I must say they are abreast with the needed information. They should also ensure that their cars are in a good shape before setting off on the road,” He said.

She also mentioned that the Union has introduced a digital platform that collects the data of passengers for easy identification in the case of any unfortunate incident.
