Late on Tuesday, it was rumored that Schlupp has been omitted from Ghana’s final 26-man squad for the 2022 World Cup Squad in Qatar. This has erupted lot of concerns among Ghanaian football fanatics on social media.

Jeffrey Schlupp is a Ghanaian international who plays for Crystal Palace as a midfielder, and sometimes plays as a defender.

This season, he has consistently produced superb performance for Crystal Palace whenever he is on the field. Thus, Ghanaians are flabbergasted that such a player has been sidelined from the world cup squad.

Although the Official list from the GFA is not yet out, what provoked these reactions are Snapchat and Instagram story post by Sir Calvin Riches, who is believed to be a member of Schlupp’s management. The post reads:

“F*ck the Gfa. Ghanaians are disgraceful.

Don’t ever call my phone ever again a bunch of people imbecile from the president all the way to the coach.”

GFA is expected to release the official squad latest by Friday, 11th November 2022.
