Mohammed Kudus has been struggling with game time this season with Brobbey being preferred over him.

His lack of game time hasn’t derail the Ghanaian intentionally at all. Last night he had his 5th appearance in the Champions League, and he seized the opportunity to give once more, a man of the match performance.

He provided the assist for Ajax’s opener, and rewarded himself with a brilliant finish to extend his team’s lead to 2.

The former Right To Dream player’s goal and assist, pivoted his side’s 3-1 win over Rangers and book their Europa league qualification.

Though the Netherlands club are out of the Champions League competition, he is 11th on the 2022/2023 Champions League Top Scorers’ table with 4 goals.

On his goal, he told reporters ‘I am very happy and most importantly we go the win, so big credit to all the team. The goal happened so fast…I just moved the ball and struck it with my right foot. Yea, it deflected but as a striker that’s what I need.’

Rangers set the record for the worst group stage performance in Champions League history with zero wins and a 20 goal different from six games.
