Over the weekend, Charles Nii Armah , popularly known as Shatta Wale, was billed as a headline Artiste for Hogbetsotso festival concert, however, despite he being accompanied by the event organizers to the event’s location, he couldn’t be found when his performance was due.
As a result of that, Onua being sponsors of said event, Captain Smart apologized to fans who were disappointed and also called Shatta Wale to do same.
Shatta has come out to talk about the incident. In his Instagram post, he narrwted,
“Ibe show wey them contract me for. We no dey go greet greet people”, he said.
“Ago taya before the show starts sef. I know how people dey love me and I know I’d have to get into the crowd.
Everybody go dey talk to you and your voice all go strain. I wanted to keep the energy for my lovely people of volta.
As I ask them whether ino be this thing I tell them before coming, I hear sey one of the organizers say if I no go come the radio station, then them no go take me go my hotel room.
So you expect me to carry all the luggage I came with to the radio station?” he quizzed.
He hinted that he was threatened to do an interview at radio station when he and the organizers have already made an agreement not to grant interviews.
But upon reaching the event’s center, the organizers decided to break the agreement.
