Ashantigold SC has withdrew injunction appeal on the Ghana Premier league

Later last season in the Ghana Premier League, Ashantigold and Inter Allies were suspected to have been involve with match fixing scandal of which both were found guilty. Demotion to the Division II was the punishment pronounced to them.

However, Ashantigold were dissatisfied with the Disciplinary Committee’s ruling, thereby they made an appeal against the Ghana football disciplinary committee which caused the postponement of the Ghana Premier League matches some weeks.

During the hearing of the case at the Appeal Court today, November 8, 2022, the lawyer representing Ashantigold in court, made known of the club’s intention to withdraw the case.

Following the withdrawal, the GFA demanded a cost of Thirty thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢30, 000), but Ashantigold pleaded to pay Three Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢3,000).

The Appeal Court after listening listen to both sides, fined Ashantigold SC Five thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢5,000).
