Ex Burniton Music Signee OV Targets Mental Health In her New Music Project

OV

OV originally known as Okailey Verse has disclosed that her new song titled “Shush” speaks about the mental disorder she suffered after her exit from Bhim nation

According to OV, after she painfully left Stonebwoy’s record label, she suffered a mental disorder called Psychotic episodes which affected her mental health.

Recalling few years ago, OV made headlines with her weird looks, looking depressed.

Many attributed her unkempt looks to her addiction to narcotics. However, the singer has now disclosed the reason behind her messy look.

“My exit from Stonebwoy ‘s record label really hit me hard. It got me thinking, ‘Am I not good enough? It started giving me doubts about not deserving to be on a label. It put me through some state that I will not wish for my enemy, I went through a lot and I was depressed. It got to a point I stayed away from everybody.”

She added that her new song titled “Shush”is an emotional tune. It’s very deep and personal to her. It’s also deep and self-explanatory because at that time, her mind was all over the place. It was crazy.

“I kept singing until I got better. I couldn’t even eat unless it was
liquid. At that point, I had gotten a second relapse. So my friend came over to where I was, confined and helped me compose several songs that were supposed to be on my EP. But then I couldn’t release it.”
“The day he came over, he told me that the texts I had written in the past did not make sense. So I read and explained to him that was what I was seeing and hearing.”
