It is evident by carefully listening to his new song “Cash Out” off his “Gift Of God” album that he drew inspiration from Nigerian Afrobeat Singer Burna Boy’s worldwide hit song “Last Last.”

I questioned myself after listening to the self-proclaimed dancehall king’s new song, “Cash Out”. Did Shatta Wale do a version of Burna Boy’s “last last” song for his fans?.

Another thought that crossed my mind was, “Did Shatta Wale get into a fight with Burna Boy and end up taking Burna Boy’s influence, or is he just eager for a big song or for the world to notice him?”

Before I evaluate the song “Cash Out” by Shatta Wale. I want to start with the album cover for his Gift Of God Album.

Shatta Wale shared the coin-shaped album cover for his record, which featured his picture and had seven (7) stars surrounding it, on his social media page.

Burna Boy,

Let’s now discuss the similarities between the songs “Last Last” and “Cash Out.”

After hearing “Cash Out,” I was moved by Burna Boy’s worldwide hit song “Last Last.” In terms of tempo, Instrumentation, Lyrics wise, Delivery and style.

The question is, Is Shatta Wale doing all these just to penetrate into the Nigerian market?.
