Residents of Soji – Daboase , a community in the Wassa East District are calling on city authorities to come to their aid to combat the several challenges facing the community.
Speaking in an interview with Beach Newsroom, Chief of the area disclosed that the community lacks proper drinking water, a toilet facility and a community centre.
He also revealed the high rate of unemployment among the youth in the area.
Nana Soji also disclosed that they have called on the authorities to come to their aid support the community with their need as it is a worrying situation.
” Lack of water, community centre and toilet facilities are the major challenges faced here. We wish to have a toilet facility which is our main worry. Unemployment is also on the rise here, especially among the youths.
Farming is the only work available to depend on for survival. We have complained severally to the assemblyman and since he can’t venture any of the youths into any skill hub. We plead with the authorities as this is beyond the Assemblyman,” He mentioned.
