W/R: Business Owners In The Region Share Challenges Facing Business Amidst Economic Mishap

Running and maintaining a business in recent times comes with its ups and downs.


Business owners within the Metropolis have shared their challenges regarding the economic impact on the country.

In an interaction with Spice 91.9 FM, they outlined the impact of the current economic crises on their businesses.

The business owners were made up of private school proprietors, Fashion designers and others.

The Principal and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PRIMPS, Mr Clement Kelvin Yeboah recounted a drop in enrolments in his institution.

For him, people no longer see the need to g to school as there is no hope for securing a job after school. He urged the government to give hope to people by creating jobs for them.

“People no longer see the sense in going to school because there’s no job. Government should give the youth some hope “, He noted.

Also, the Chief Executive Officer of Dress Up College, Eric David Akwabeng blamed losses business owners make on depreciating cedis. He encouraged government to concentrate more on job creation rather than infrastructure.

“Creating more jobs means more revenue will be generated for development work. Enough of the infrastructure works, give room to job creation. Day in and out raw materials are soaring of the dollar – cedi rate, we make losses always” He mentioned.
