Hasmal Ladies Appeal for Support from Corperate Bodies as Club prepares for Africa

The Chief Executive Officer of Women’s Premier League Champions Hasaacas Ladies, Mrs Evelyn Nsiah Asare has asked for support for her side going into the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League.

Hasmal Ladies, have the privilege of representing Ghana at the first-ever CAF Women’s Champions League but are facing some financial difficulties ahead of their trip to Cote d’ivoire, where the competition will be taken place.

There are indications that Hasaacas Ladies might travel to Cote d’Ivoire by road which is approximately a 13-hour journey (698.6 km).

Mrs Nsiah Asare told Abaidoo Abednego on Spice fm Center Sports

“As the days for the commencement of the competition draws close, we are calling for the support from all corporate bodies in the Western Region to come to our aid because we don’t have the money, can you believe we have sent out so many letters but we are yet to get any positive response, including the 17 parliamentarians we wrote to? “

“Even the management can’t travel without money because we’ve exhausted the 28 contigents allocated to us by CAF so till now it’s uncertain if myself or the CEO will even travel so we are still soliciting for funds”

Hasmal Ladies won the Sanford Women’s FA Cup and Women’s Premier League and have been drawn in Group B with Rivers Angels of Nigeria and Beninois outfit AS Police de Niamey.

The ‘Dooooo’ will play their first game against Rivers Angels FC on July 17, 2021 at the Stade Champroux and play AS Police on July 23, 2021 at the same stadium.

Winners and Runner ups of both groups will advance to the next stage of the tournament for the semifinal clash on July 26, 2021.

The two winners from the semifinals will play the final on July 29, 2021 while losers from the semifinal will play for the third place honor on the same date but as an early Kick-off.

The teams that win the semifinals will automatically advance to the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League which will take place later this year at the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
