Information reaching Spice News indicates that the District Police Commander of Half-Assini in the Jomoro Municipality of the Western Region, DSP Cyprin Zengeh, this morning around 0900 hours shot himself dead.
According to Hon Kizito Trill Erzoah, Assembly Member of Half-Assini Electoral Area, who confirmed the incident with Spice News in an exclusive interview hinted that he rushed to the Commander’s house around 0900 hours upon hearing some shouts only to realize that the house was surrounded by police officials and some members of the community.
He said through further investigations, it was uncovered that the Commander had shot himself with a paper note that reads thus, “I am fed up”.
He further announced that the body has been deposited at the Half-Assini Government Morgue pending further investigations.
Hon Erzoah mentioned that the police has marked the area as an incident zone to enable them conduct investigations into the circumstances leading to his death.
