Jonathan Majors, recognized for his role as Kang in Marvel movies, has been convicted in a New York trial for assaulting former girlfriend Grace Jabbari.

Jabbari detailed sustaining injuries like a fractured finger, bruises, and severe pain during the March altercation.

Majors, 34, could face a year in jail and has been removed from future Marvel projects.

The jury’s decision came after three days of deliberation, with Majors showing minimal reaction as the verdict was delivered.

Marvel promptly announced their disassociation from Majors for upcoming projects post-verdict.

The incident occurred in a car when Jabbari saw a text on Majors’ phone from another woman which said: “Wish I was kissing you right now.”

Prosecutors claimed Majors forcibly tried to retrieve the phone, by grabbing her, twisting her arm behind her back and hitting her in the head.

While convicted on two domestic violence charges including assault causing physical injury and harassment, Majors was acquitted of aggravated harassment and assault with intent charges.

The prosecution portrayed the assault as part of Majors’ pattern of controlling behavior, presenting recordings and messages as evidence.

Amid threatening messages and arguments, Majors compared Jabbari to historical figures’ wives and emphasized her need to make sacrifices for him.

Jabbari’s lawyer expressed her satisfaction with the verdict, urging other abused individuals to speak up.
