Ghana Gas Company To Sponsor Capacity Building For Journalists

Ghana Gas Company to facilitate oil and gas training to Journalists in the country to ensure responsible reportage on the actives of the oil and gas sector.

The Public Relationships Officer for the Ghana National Gas Company Limited Ernest Owusu Bempah dropped the hint when he visited the manager Of Focus 1 Media Kojo Amoako Nzoley in Takoradi ahead of an encounter with journalists in the western region tomorrow, Thursday 21 February 2019.

According to Owusu Bempah, the Media houses and for matter, journalists play a vital role in the building of our great country and therefore it’s important that journalists are trained on issues pertaining to the oil and gas sector. And that is exactly what we at Ghana Gas hope to do for journalists in the Western region.

“It’s part of our program to ensure that Ghana Gas deal with our stakeholders especially the media to put up a program on most of the accredited Journalism institutions for journalists in the western region to have some form of training that will help in the oil and gas fields.”

Adding that, “Journalists in the country should be abreast with enough information on the booming oil and gas sector and equally know how to report on issues from that sector and we at Ghana Gas are committed and working closely with some institutions to the realization of the promise to journalists in this country.”

A communication officer from the Ghana National Gas Company, Marian Yabe however added that they expect a fair and honest reportage from the media that is why they are in talks with the media houses and the journalists themselves to seen how their outfits can help build their capacity all for the common good for Ghana.

The management of Focus 1 Media operators of Spice 91.9 FM and Beach 105.5 FM in Takoradi ably represented by our General Manager Kojo Amoako Nzoley assured the team from Ghana Gas of their total support toward that laudable initiative which will go a long way to benefit the entire country.
