NPP Super Delegates Congress: Chaos erupts at Ashanti Region voting center

The list of 10 aspirants vying for the coveted position includes influential figures from various backgrounds:

  1. Alan Kyerematen – Former Trade Minister
  2. Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto – Former Agriculture Minister
  3. Kennedy Agyapong – Member of Parliament for Assin Central
  4. Joe Ghartey – Former Railways Minister
  5. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong – Former party General Secretary
  6. Kwadwo Poku – Energy expert
  7. Boakye Agyarko – Former Energy Minister
  8. Kofi Konadu Apraku – Former Trade Minister
  9. Francis Addai Nimoh – Former Member of Parliament for Mampong
  10. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia – Vice President

The ongoing election involves a participation of over 900 delegates from across the country. The top five aspirants who garner the highest number of votes will advance to the party’s primaries in November. These primaries will determine the NPP’s flagbearer for the highly anticipated 2024 general election.
