Metro TV Pays Debt Owed The Ghana Revenue Authority

The Management of Metro Television has paid the debt owed the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) which led to the shutdown of the station on Tuesday December 12.
The GRA shut down Metro TV over non-payment of taxes.
A source within the Accra-based television station told ClassFMonline.com that the new owners, Jospong Group of companies, were not aware of certain tax liabilities left by the previous owners, thus, its non-payment and the consequential closure of the station by the GRA.
However, minutes after the shutdown, the management of the Accra-based television hurriedly settled the debt to enable the station to resume operations.
It is however unclear how much the station owed the GRA.
