Songstress and multiple award-winning sensational Ghanaian singer Adina Thembi, popularly known as Adina, has expressed her desire to join the masquerade groups in Takoradi.
With fast approaching festivity of Christmas, where exactly do you plan on being this festive season?
“Takoradi is always the place to be so I’m happy to be here”, says Adina speaking on the Mid Morning Lounge on Beach Fm today, November 17, 2022.
The Ankos Festival also known as the Takoradi street carnival is an yearly occasion celebrated by the people of Takoradi, having different masquerading groups marching through the streets of the city in their wild and colorful ensembles showing off their skills through dance
The beautiful display of the “Ankos festival ” here in takoradi has caught the attention of the popular Ghanaian music star Adina.
Having about 37 masquerade groups in Sekondi-Takoradi with about 20,000 members, from children to elderly men and women, this coming festive season will have all the masquerades in Sekondi-Takoradi see to the biggest event in Ghana.
Enthused about the event, Adina exclaimed that , “The people in takoradi really embrace having a good time”.
According to the singer, her plans for this Christmas is mainly to join the masquerade dancers. “Whether it is supreme, whether it is ankos, i will be part of the masquerade.”
