GIS arrests Ivorian fugitive who murdered girlfriend in Ivory Coast

The Elubo Sector Command of the Ghana Immigration Service, GIS, has arrested an Ivorian murder suspect named Nduoba Essoi Fulgence, believed to be in his 30’s at Edwakpole, a village near Anyinase in the Ellembele District of the Western Region.

According to a press statement signed by the Western Regional PRO of the Ghana Immigration Service, GIS, Inspector Moses Manford Akakpo, “the Elubo Sector Command, upon receiving intelligence from the Ivorian Police Commissaire in Noe, the Ivorian side of the Elubo border, to assist in arresting the said fugitive, a taxi driver in Mouyasse, who was believed to have fled into Ghana after slaughtering his girlfriend, Ms Nda Abekan Anne or Ella, in Ivory Coast.”

The statement further stated that, the suspect was immediately handed over to the Ivorian Police Commissaire in Noe, at the Elubo border at about 4pm on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.

“The suspect was immediately handed over to the Ivorian Police Commissaire in Noe, at the Elubo Border, by the Elubo Sector Command of GIS, at about 1600hrs on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.”
