Voters Registration: 209 First-Time Voters Registered In Takoradi Sub-Metro District

A total of 209 voters have been registered by the Electoral Commission, EC officials in the Takoradi Sub-Metro District in the ongoing limited voters registration exercise.

This was recorded three days into the exercise.

The exercise, which began on Tuesday, September 12, saw 76 people register, 103 people complete the procedure successfully on Day 2, and 30 people register at 1200 on Day 3.

People who had not yet registered might be seen standing in line to receive services.

The Takoradi Sub-Metro District Electoral Officer, Mr. Prince Acheampong, said that despite some initial technical difficulties, the procedure had been progressing gradually.

In order to hasten the process, he claimed that officials were trying to guarantee that the fundamental issues were rectified.

He claimed that thus far, there had been no unrest, as opposed to the first day, when there had been some miscommunication between the two major political parties over matters of age. However, since then, there have been no such problems.
