Shopping Malls in the region beef up security in wake of terrorist threat in the country

Recent security alerts identifies Ghana as a hotspot for a possible insurgency by terrorists following incidents of attacks recorded in neighboring countries with the possibility of a spillover.

In a letter copied to all security agencies from the National Security, its warns that the risk of terrorist attack in the country was more than eminent.
It therefore, advised all security agencies to be on high alert to avert any possible breaches.
In the wake of this , places of gathering including shopping centres have had to spike up security.

Speaking to Beach Newsroom on security preparedness managers of Takoradi Mall and Anaji Choice Mart – Mr. Theophilus Quartey and Mr. Roosevlet says they are working hand in hand with security authorities to make their business and client feel safe.

Also speaking on patronage of the shopping centers the managers shared that people still come in ,in their number to shop , while others use other online means of shopping.
