Car spare parts dealers at Kokompe an artisanal garage in the Sekondi- Takoradi Metropolis have hinted on the increase of prices of car spare parts.
This is as a result of the fast depreciation and instability of the cedi in recent times that has subjected operators in the automobile industry to some difficulties, following the inflating prices of spare parts.
Speaking to Business Daily, these dealers disclosed that the cedi depreciation and hikes in taxes and levies at the port are negatively affecting their businesses.
They bemoaned that there is an increment every time travel to the nations capital, Accra for the
goods which affects their business leaving them no option than to increase the prices of their goods.
They are therefore pleading with the government to help revive the economy.
