Professor Aaron Mike Oquaye, The speaker of parliament, stated that Ghanaians sholud know and accept the fact that Ghana’s independence was not a one man show.
Speaking at a public lecture to mark Founders Day, Professor Mike Oquaye revealed;
“Independence was not a one man show it was a collective effort and is important for us to continue to appreciate the full dynamics there of and the very ingredients that made beautiful melody that made this great nation the first African country to reach independence from the British.”
August 4th ,is a statutory Public Holiday in Ghana to mark the celebration of founding fathers (Founders Day).
