“The global perception of Ghana has shifted, from crisis economy to recovery in progress. This is no coincidence, this is the Mahama doctrine of inclusion of all, pragmatic leadership, and good governance, all at work” says Dr (PhD) Maame Aba Dadzie, Chairperson of USA chapter of National Democratic Congress (NDC)
According to the NDC kingpin, following the change of government, Ghana has gained significant international appeal.
Aside that, she said the economy of the country has moved from the worse performing global economy to the stage of recovery within the first half of the first year of the new government.
In addition, she said the country’s currency (cedi) has gained favourable strength against other global trading currencies.
Addressing NDC members of the diaspora recently, at an annual conference and victory party organised in the USA to take stock of activities of the NDC chapter in USA, she celebrated government for holding firmly the country’s currency to compete globally .
“The cedi, hitherto on life support, is now gaining strength” she stressed.
Aside the unprecedented performance of the country’s currency, she said inflation and interest rate, which are all key components driving the economy, have all gained favour through the good governance pillars being erected and pragmatic economic solutions being displayed by President John Dramani Mahama and his competent team of appointees.
“The government, thus, administration of President John Dramani Mahama, has so far demonstrated that it is not a government of sloganeering” she observed.

Explaining all the positive gains made in the first half of the first year of the new administration, the USA Chairperson said the administration of President John Dramani Mahama will rise to the occasion and make Ghanaians proud after the four year tenure.
The handling of the national economy, and all issues related to political affairs of the country, by President John Dramani Mahama, and his appointees, she noted has shown that indeed the NDC is more than prepared to lead the country.
Consequently, she advised members of the party in the diaspora, to watch their conduct and comments on social media “Let us be circumspect in our conduct” she counselled
Dr (PhD) Maama Aba Dadzie appealed to the party to continue to uphold the existing unity that gave birth to the overwhelming victory chalked by the NDC in the last elections.
“When the NDC rises in unison, nothing can stand in our way. Let us agree to disagree without tearing down the house. Let us treat each other with dignity, with courtesy and mutual respect” she advised
She said members of the NDC must realise one thing that they share common heritage and vision than any differences in their midst. “We are a people with a shared vision and heritage “
Deputy National Organizer of NDC, Elikem Kotoko, who represented the party’s leadership at the function assured the NDC in the diaspora of government’s commitment to deal with challenges facing the country.
He said the administration of President John Dramani Mahama will leave no stone unturned in addressing all the pressing issues confronting the people of Ghana holistically.
Many of the policies being introduced by government he explained, have been tailored towards addressing challenges identified as troubling the the national economy and the welfare and well-being of Ghanaians.
Aside that, the Deputy National Organizer of NDC, Elikem Kotoko, who, apparently, was the main national executive who graced the occasion, again, appealed to members of the party to continue to believe in the ability of the NDC to improve the fortunes of the country despite the challenges inherited by government.
