“It’s encouraging to see more girls writing 2025 BECE,” says Effia-Kwesimintsim MCE

Municipal Chief Executive of Effia-Kwesimintsim Assembly, Abdul Majeed Dokrugu, says he is excited to see more females participate in this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examinations, BECE.
Speaking at the Takoradi Technical University examinations center, Mr Dokrugu mentioned that this trend of having more females register for the exams is refreshing.
“I want to congratulate all candidates across the country and within the municipality for participating in the BEC exams. A total of 3,036 students have registered, with over 1,600 girls and 1,400 boys, which is a promising sign of female participation.”
“The students have been well-prepared through various sessions over the past month, and I am confident that the students are ready and expecting excellent results.”
He was optimistic that the preparation given to her students before the examinations would enable them to produce good results at the end of the exams.
Mr Dokrugu was also hopeful that the examinations would be malpractice-free, given the sensitisation efforts made within the municipality.
“The teachers have done their best to cover the entire syllabus and prepare the students thoroughly for the BECE exams. Over the past month, we’ve held several sessions within the municipality to groom the students. We’ve also educated them on exam rules and the importance of avoiding malpractice.
I’ve gone around to motivate them, and they are well aware of the regulations. With the support of our invigilators, we’re ensuring that all students follow the rules and take the exams in a fair environment.”
