The Member of Parliament for Essikadu-Ketan Constituency, Professor Dr. Grace Ayensu Danquah, is launching the Obaatan Pa Scholarship Scheme today, March 28, 2025, at the Bethany Methodist Church in Essikado.
This initiative fulfills her 2024 campaign promise to establish a scholarship fund for brilliant students, demonstrating her commitment to youth development and education in the constituency.
The scholarship scheme has two categories, which include: The Secondary School Category: under this category, 120 pupils, 10 from each of the 12 electoral areas in the constituency, who excel in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) will receive fully funded scholarships to attend secondary school.
The Tertiary Category: Under this category, applications will be open annually for 1,000 students across the constituency for full tuition scholarships.
As a renowned humanitarian surgeon, educationist, and philanthropist, Professor Dr. Grace Ayensu Danquah has consistently shown her dedication to empowering the youth and promoting education.
Applications for the scholarship are now open and will be accepted until Friday, April 11, 2025. Interested applicants can submit their applications to the EKC MP’s office located at the Essikado-Hospital junction.
