President John Dramani Mahama is expected to visit the Western Region on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 to express his gratitude after winning the 2024 general elections.
In a press statement issued by the Western Regional communication director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Richard Kirk Mensah, the president, during his visit, “will be in Sekondi, the administrative capital of the region, to extend his gratitude to Nananom, respected queen mothers, clergy, imams, esteemed Zongo chiefs, heads of departments, and party members at all levels.”
This will be the President first visit to the region after his election to the high office.

President John Dramani Mahama Takes His Thank You Tour to the Western Region
His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, the President of the Republic of Ghana and Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces, will embark on the second phase of his Thank You Tour in the Western Region on Wednesday, February 5th.
During this visit, the President will be in Sekondi, the administrative capital of the region, to extend his gratitude to Nananom, respected queen mothers, clergy, imams, esteemed Zongo chiefs, heads of departments, and party members at all levels.
This visit marks the second edition of the tour, following the nationwide tour that began last week in the Volta Region.
