Get ready for a challenge – Annor-Dompreh to Barker-Vormawor
The Member of Parliament for Nsawam Adoagyiri, Frank Annor-Dompreh has admonished Oliver Barker-Vormawor to embrace himself for a challenge when he appears before the Appointments Committee in parliament over bribery allegations levelled against the committee.
Barker-Vormawor, an activist and convenor of #fixthecountry alleged that members of the Appointments Committee demand money from ministerial nominees in exchange of their approval, a claim that has strongly been denied by the Minority.
“So all monies the ministerial appointees are being asked to pay to the Appointments Committee just to get approved, are those ones not affected by ORAL? Strange republic “, Mr Barker-Vormawor posted on X.
In response, Hon Annor-Dompreh who is a member of the Appointments Committee wrote that, “Get ready for a challenge by me and the minority.”
In order to address and bring clarity to the issue, the Appointments Committee has invited Barker-Vormawor to make an appearance on Wednesday, January 29 to substantiate his claims. He is expected to provide answers and evidence to his allegations as it has sparked several discussions across the country.
Mr Barker-Vormawor has already assured to appear before the Appointments Committee in parliament to substantiate his claims.
He posted on X that , “This is how democracy improves. I look forward to appearing before the appointments committee tomorrow.”
