President-elect Mahama forms anti-Corruption Team for ‘Operation Recover All Loot’ initiative
President-elect John Dramani Mahama has established an anti-corruption preparatory team as part of his “Operation Recover All Loot” (ORAL) initiative, reinforcing his dedication to tackling corruption and promoting accountability.
The announcement, made by the Transition Team on December 18, 2024, underscores Mahama’s commitment to fulfilling a key promise from his 2024 presidential campaign.
In a statement signed by spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu, it was revealed that the team’s role will involve gathering information from the public and credible sources on suspected corruption activities.
This foundational work will support the ORAL initiative, which aims to recover the proceeds of corruption and hold wrongdoers accountable.
The preparatory team comprises distinguished individuals with varied expertise:
Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa – Chairman
Mr. Daniel Domelevo – Former Auditor-General
COP (Rtd.) Nathaniel Kofi Boakye – Former Police Officer
Mr. Martin Kpebu – Private Legal Practitioner
Mr. Raymond Archer – Investigative Journalist
This multidisciplinary team embodies Mahama’s approach of integrating legal, investigative, and public service perspectives to strengthen the battle against corruption.
